  We joined friends for a dinner at 401 which none of us had eaten there before. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. The owner dropped by our table and began talking with us about wine. Since my husband and I love wine and are in a wine-tasting group, we enjoyed the conversation. He mentioned to us that we had to try this particular wine, which we did and liked it. He then asked if we wanted to have a glass which we both ordered. At this point we had already put our orders in and did not look at the cost of the wine. We our bill arrived, we were stunned to see that each glass cost $25.00. We told our waiter and asked to see the owner. When he arrived he said we should have looked at the wine list costs. We feel we were taken advantage of and will never return nor recommend this restaurant to any of our friends.
